Brick is a wordless puzzle platformer about climbing by leaving pieces of yourself behind. Each version of you becomes part of the level, turning every attempt into a path forward.

the concept is cool but there's a invisible roof that kills you in the 2nd screen and the absence of a reset made me quit

Very cool

Thanks mate, glad you like it.

no sound for me

Hey, I couldn't replicate the issue, did you end trying again and still no sound?

I still don't have sound in Opera but I do have it in Firefox...weird all other games work well in Opera.

On the one hand, "leave yourself behind as a platform" is, apologies, not the most original mechanic.  On the other, though, the level design of bridging spaces, moving straight up, and handling moving platforms do bring something fresh to the genre.

But there's one thing it needs, and that's a reset button that removes all your past selves.  If you're thinking "But no one could play this game so badly that they'd leave a practical wall of bodies that they can't progress past": hi there, it's me.

EDIT: OK, I made it to the end, but just to give you a sense of how bad it was, this is me and I swear I wasn't trying to see how badly I could block myself out.

I thought on this for a while, and whether you should be able to delete the screen and then start at the checkpoint again, or if I should I should allow people to restart the game from the beginning.

The work around was that the restart the level is kind of built into this page.

The only thing I'm thinking of adding (after the Jam finishes) is a button to remove the last placement, that way the player doesn't fully get stuck.

All that said though, thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoy parts of it.
